How I Came to Love Cooking
My love of cooking derived from several inspirations; however most of all my love of cooking came from the influence of my grandmother and grandfather. My grandfather was a master butcher and my grandmother was a school lunch-lady for over thirty years. Almost every Sunday my whole family would go over to my grandparent's house for Sunday supper. My grandmother would always prepare pasta and some type of roast. My grandfather would then use his expert skills to prepare the chicken, pork, or beef. Ever since I could remember I would always be around or in the kitchen those Sundays observing and obtaining little pieces of advice. Eventually, when I got older, I was granted the privilege of helping prepare some of the meals. My tasks started off small such as peeling potatoes or washing lettuce. However small or insignificant the job, I just loved being around food, especially when it came to cooking it. As I grew older I started working in a few restaurants. I made my way up from the busboy position to receiving the chance to prep some ingredients for the night's service.
I love everything about the restaurant business and food service industry. When I was accepted into the Culinary Arts Academy at Freehold Boro High School I was ecstatic. This program has taught me a lot and I am eternally thankful I received the chance to partake in this opportunity. The culinary program is a unique and rewarding privilege to be apart of. It continuously helps reinforce my love of cooking that was instilled in me by my family so many years ago. Without such experiences in my life I do not think I would have the same love of cooking that I do today.

Dear Greco Family,
I have just returned to school to complete my associates degree at the C.I.A., after completing my externship. By chance I went to the same place Anthony went, the Bay Head Yacht Club.
Kevin the sous chef was good friends with Anthony. He spoke about him frequently and with fond memories. He told many stories about him, as well as anyone who had the pleasure to know and work with him.
I had a great time externing at the Bay Head Yacht Club and plan on returning next summer after graduating with my associates, before I begin persuing my bachelors degree at the C.I.A. also.
I am writing this with respect and gratitude for the very generous gift your family awarded me last year, and ensure you it is being put to a great use in the field Anthony was so passionate about
Thank you again, Sincerely
